I've never been much of a fan of these competition shows, but this one is addictive, because every week allows the crews to choreograph their own steps, based on different challenges, so it gets pretty interesting. So far it's only 3 episodes in, and there's alot of talent. I got my picks of who's gonna win already, let's ride it out...haha.
One of my favorite groups on the show, and my number one pick is Jabbawockeez. Check out some of the clips of the first, second and third episodes...and you be the judge.
Check out this new offering from BBC, which I also notice is making a comeback in your everyday shopping mall stores as well.

Remember these? Deck shoes, boat shoes, whatever you like to call 'em. I love the look, but it kills me that grandpa's shoe is now the weapon of choice! I suppose it only makes sense, the sneaker game is weak nowadays anyway. What do you think?

Once in a while, I gotta take a step back and try and push those who deserve the push. Right now, one of the biggest stars in T.O.'s music scene would have to be Luu Breeze. I mean, I don't have professional judgement when it comes to music, but I know what I hear. I'm not sure i've ever heard a lame, half-assed track come from this guy, he bang's out hits. And to me, if that's any indication of what the future has in store for him, then it's looking good. He's frequently in shows in the GTA and for more information visit his Myspace page, www.myspace.com/luubreeze, and show him support for his new track, "Break 'Em Off"... and also if you live in and around the GTA, vote for him now on ota live and 93.5 flow.
Oh yeah, and what appears to be a high quality vid for the track is coming soon, trailer up top.

After a decade of debating...I finally decided that I would pick up the novelty, and snap off a few shots...strictly for the memories. Especially since Polaroid has decided to stop making instant film after 2008. Sad sad news. Why does everything good have to go?
Well, I haven't had a chance to use any since the price of film is sky high. It works out to about $2.25 a photo. As well it's become a little harder to purchase film as it seems to be selling out faster then usual nowadays. I went online on Henrys.com to see prices for the film on Wednesday night, and on Thursday afternoon they were sold out. Sucks.
Here's to 100 more!
In concert news, the list just keeps growing! Kanye's tour, "Glow in the Dark," is making it's way to Toronto, May 21st at the Molson Amphitheatre, alongside with Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D.
This should be a crazzzzzzzzy concert. Keep bringin the heat Toronto!!

Holla at Jeremy Kipnis. He has built a $6 million dollar studio home theatre system in his house, that is literally better then a night out at the movies. Judging by the pics, i'd say watchin a movie would be an intense activity!

And then he kills it with Daft Punk on Stronger (even though I'm sick of this song, honestly, Kanye is a great performer. I remember his first concert in Toronto 5 or 6 years back... it was CRAZYYY! One of the most memorable definately).

Well, not really blog worthy, but if you watched through the whole video you would've spotted what I spotted. Let's capture a screenshot:

And upon closer inspection, you'll notice the signature "Hustle Hard" shirts I recently mentioned a couple posts back from Kamakacci.

Selfless promotion, and there you have it, the makings of instant street credibility.
The first was "Wildstyle: The Sampler," which talks about the production, influences, and impacts of the movie Wild Style on the world, hip hop, and culture. It's a pretty neat book, which I haven't had a minute to actually read through, but I took a quick browse through the pictures, and it's weird that even though the setting of the book was the 1980's, it has an eerie feel of the present day.

The second book that (I lied, I didn't buy it, it was gifted to me the day before) got my hands on was "BOMBSHELL: The Life and Times of Claw Money."
This book is a collection of photos detailing the work of a 38 year old female graffiti artist from Long Island by the name of -Claw Money. Within the last year she switched over to creating her own street wear line, and has worked on projects in the past with the likes of Calvin Klein, Ecko and Nike. As well, I haven't had a chance to dive in depth to each of these books but I figured I'd broadcast it in case anyone else was interested enough in picking them up. Check out her site here: Claw Money

For all of you that haven't heard of Kamakacci, it's a brand out of Toronto that's been doing it big for the last couple years, with signature shirts like the Hustle Hard collection, the I am Kama Kandy collection, to the events and model searches, etc.
If you haven't had a chance to view the website's in the past, every re-release of the website is always fresh, and in my opinion, better done then most lines that probably spend millions on their websites!
I can't give you a little teaser, but be on the look out for it this week along with the release of four new shirt designs. I leave you with some clips of the photoshoot back in the summer...It's always an event when them Kamakacci boys are around...Holla
